I’ve just heard about the theory of universal consciousness that suggests there is a consciousness that is intelligent and timeless. It sounds all a bit weird and mystical to me but my sister was telling me about this lecture she went to that talked about this inner knowledge or awareness which we can all tap into if we know it is there. My sister is a bit alternative so I was pretty sceptical when she was telling me about this especially when she was using words like all-powerful and the ultimate reality and the synthesis of all universal knowledge. It was all a bit of a leap of logic for me. I mean what is consciousness anyway. I understand consciousness as being aware of cause and effect and therefore being able to anticipate the result of an event and as far as I can work out humans are the best at it and my consciousness is telling me that my sister is full of hot air.
